David is a an Assistant Director in the Department of Finance. From September 2014 to May 2018 he worked in various teams responsible for establishing the enhanced Commonwealth performance framework under the PGPA Act. David’s contribution included drafting guidance on developing fit for purpose performance information and supporting Commonwealth entities seeking to understand and implement the new performance reporting requirements. David joined the Australian Public Service in 2004. Prior to this he had a successful career as a research scientist working with industrial processing companies in Australian and abroad. He holds a PhD awarded by the University of Melbourne.
